South Carolina law encourage(s) the development and use of indigenous, renewable energy resources. Renewable energy includes solar, wind, hydrogen, hydropower, bioenergy, and geothermal derived from renewable sources. The Energy Office provides programs and resources to develop renewable energy in South Carolina.
